All You Need To Know
How can I make a booking?
Please call us on 07512408229 (or send us an enquiry via 'Contact Us' page) to ensure that your desired dates are still available. We will then ask you to complete and return a booking form and pay a booking deposit over the phone or by bank transfer to secure your booking.
What deposit do I need to leave to secure my booking?
A booking deposit of £250 per week (non refundable) is payable by debit/credit card or bank transfer to secure your booking. Minimum booking deposit (non refundable) is £250. The balance is to be paid by bank transfer 28 days prior to the start of your hire.
What paperwork do I need to provide?
A photo of both sides of your full UK driving license (for all that wish to drive).
For each driver: 1 Utility bill (gas/electric/water) and 1 further proof of address (landline phone/internet bill, bank/credit card statement, credit card bill, council tax bill, mortgage statement).
DVLA licence check code obtained for each driver from here: https://www.gov.uk/check-driving-information (you can do this from 21 days prior to hire date as the license check code only lasts 21 days).
All ID must be dated within 90 days of the hire start date and the address listed must match the address on your drivers license. Address and date must be visible on ID/proof of address. Cover letters etc. and mobile phone bills cannot be accepted.
Please start to gather the required ID as soon as possible to avoid any last minute panic. For further details you can visit the ID submission page here. Please note that these requirements are not at our discretion but a requirement of all self-drive hire insurance providers. If in doubt, please contact us as soon as possible for advice.
On the pick up day you need to bring:
Your full UK driving license (plastic part)
What are the age restrictions to hire?
You need to be 23 or over and 75 or under. You need to have held a UK or EU driving license for a minimum of 2 years'. Drivers aged 23 or 24 years need to leave an additional refundable deposit. Please contact us if you are outside of this range and we can check with our insurers.
I have points on my license or have had an accident, can I still hire?
Yes. You can have up to 2 convictions with no more than 3 points per conviction, but the insurers do not accept anything else. You must not have been involved in more than one accident that you were at fault for within the last 3 years. Please call if you are outside of these limits as we can sometimes get clearance from our insurers which may just incur additional charges. You must not have obtained a BA,DD or UT conviction.
What time can I pick up the motorhome and what time should I return it?
The motorhome is usually available from 2pm and should be returned by 10am.
Can I leave my car at your premises?
Yes you can leave your car at our premises free of charge during your hire.
What do I need to bring with me?
You should bring your own bedding, towels, clothes, food and anything else that you think you may need.
Can we bring our dog with us?
This is at our discretion; Please discuss this with us.
Will I be warm enough?
Yes. Our motorhomes are insulated to the highest modern standards and have blown air heating.
What happens with fuel and what fuel economy should we expect?
Our motorhomes will have a full tank of diesel when you pick it up and you will need to return it full. Our motorhomes has the latest Cat 6 diesel engine and achieve approx. 30 MPG depending on your driving style.
Can the motorhome be delivered to our house?
Yes, for a charge and depending on availability. You should have space to load/unload the vehicle. Contact us for availability and pricing.
How much security deposit do I need to leave?
There is a £1000 Security Deposit (payable by the lead driver) that can be left as a hold on credit/debit card on the day of hire or can be paid by bank transfer. . We reserve the right to increase the security deposit in certain circumstances or for specific events e.g. festivals or clients travelling with pets to £1500.
